Located in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains of New Mexico, Camp Tres Ritos offers a terrific high-altitude mountain camping experience, access to some of the finest hiking locations and some of the most spectacular scenery in the country. In true mountain camp fashion, Camp Tres Ritos offers patrol style cooking and merit badge classes that take place in the stunning outdoors. This unique week long, mountain experience is a chance to get out doors. Campers will also enjoy a troop day where they can hike, climb, or whitewater raft. Come cool down from the summer heat in the Mountains of New Mexico.

Summer CAMP Information
Merit Badge Offering:
Tres Ritos offers a unique connection with nature due to its location. Our nature and ecology program is one of a kind. We offer over 50 merit badges, including many required for Eagle. Check the leader's guide for a list!
First Year Camper - Trail to First Class:
Have new Scouts who need to work on rank advancement? Enroll your Scouts in Trail to First Class to work on many requirements for the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class.
On Wednesday we offer our troops a Troop Day. No merit badges are offered that day. Troops can participate in facilitated activities such as visiting the Harding Mine or a 5 mile hike to Angostura Meadow. Other activities in the area include White Water Rafting, visiting Taos or even Philmont!
Older Scout Program:
Have older Scouts who are looking for an adventure? Check out our new Older Scout Program which includes white water rafting and an overnight backpack trip to summit Jicarita Peak!
SUMMER CAMP PREPARATIONS:
YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING:
All adults attending camp need to have a copy of their Youth Protection Certificate. If an adult attends camp but does not have proof of training, they will need to take training on Monday morning.

Adults & Scouts: Please make sure to bring your membership card to camp.
All youth and adults attending camp must have a full medical form, including parts A, B, and C. Please make sure you allow your Scouts time to get a physical for this form. All physicals must be on the BSA Medical Form. Click here for more information
Materials for Camp:
Please be aware that Camp Tres Ritos does not have tents to supply to your troops. All troops must bring their own tents and their own cooking gear, as this is a patrol cooking camp. Camp Tres Ritos is located roughly 45 minutes away from the closest department store, so make sure you have everything you need!

SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION:
Sign up your unit now to ensure a spot at camp this summer. Campsites are assigned on a first come first serve basis.

Week 2: July 12-18, 2020
2020 CAMP FEES:
Scout- $275 ($250 SPC Troops)
A camp payment schedule is available in the Leader's Guide and will be implemented for all Troops.
